Crave Life is a faith community centered on the belief that love has no labels. We believe in the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We seek to live intentionally, therefore expect to meet all kinds of people and participate in relevant community. If you feel like you don't "fit in", then Crave Life may just be the place you are looking for.
ARE YOU CRAVING UNITY?
We sure are! We are made up of different backgrounds, ages, colors, identities and traditions. This is the focus of our faith community, to become more aware of each other, which gives us a greater image of God for we are all marked with the image of God. The face of the God becomes fuller and clearer when we gather with different people.
We do realize our current political leader fosters racial separation and uses divisiveness for political propaganda and gain, therefore, our response to that is to live in unity and our faith in Jesus Christ is what bind us together.
Some of us are Methodists, others of us are Catholics, still others are Baptists, Evangelicals, Pentecostals, Presbyterians and of course Lutherans, yet we choose to abandon these religious labels for we are one in Christ Jesus. Moreover, some of us are Latinos, others of us are Black, White, Asian and Multiracial, yet we choose to celebrate our diversity.
We are young and mature, single and married, with kids and without, traditional and radical, introverted and extraverted, intellectual and artistic, gay and straight, yet we choose to leave those labels at the door for our common identity is Christ Jesus.
WHAT IS OUR MISSION?
Crave Life's mission is mobilizing people towards unity with Christ and all of God's people.
WHAT ARE OUR VALUES?
Unity - racial togetherness in worship Inclusivity - inclusion of all individuals Diversity - embracing our differences Community - a tribe that you can call your own
Have you ever been made to feel like you don't belong at church? If your answer is YES, please consider joining us on a Sunday, because we know how you feel. Many of us have encountered much of what you may have experienced, but the story does not end there. We are attempting to reclaim the church of Christ!
We are affiliated with the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and supported by the Pacifica Synod.
